We are seeking a Training Specialist with 3-5 years of experience to support training logistics and session delivery for a Defense client in the northern Virginia area. Most courses will be one-hour and delivered via MS Teams in order to support personnel with leadership, management, project management, resiliency, and agency-specific processes. The successful Training Specialist candidate will have a proven record of supporting high-quality training on-site and virtually. The Training Specalist candidate should be experienced with operating as a Training Producer via MS Teams, Adobe Connect, or comparable platform. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to work independently and be highly organized.
This position is hybrid. Though most duties will be performed remotely (telework), the Training Specialist will report to the client site for quarterly planning meetings and any on-site training events in the Falls Church area. The team may travel to San Antonio up to two times per year. This position reports to the Lead Instructional Systems Designer.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage event planning for virtual and on-site events including managing registration via two platforms, scheduling, participant communication, and marketing.  
Create visually appealing and compliant calendars of events and marketing flyers.
Support delivery of on-site or virtual classroom for up to 60 participants per course.
Collaborate with Instructional Systems Designers, Facilitator, and client to create high-quality training.  
Ensure classroom activities conform to agency mission and program guidelines.
Assist in setting up (and breaking down) classroom facilities and activities for on-site events.
Conduct effective dry runs for on-site and virtual training sessions.  
Coordinate with the Facilitator, Lead ISD, and Program Analysts to create after action, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as other metrics to inform programmatic decisions.  
Collect feedback from learners and provide feedback to ISDs.
Assist ISDs and Government project lead in identifying training gaps and agency needs.
Actively participate in quarterly planning with ISDs and the client.  
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA or BS degree in public relations, finance, business management, or another related field
3-5 years of experience as a Training Producer for hybrid and/or virtual delivery
Ability to manage all aspects of virtual delivery platforms such as setup, dry runs, and learner technical issues
Knowledge of basic marketing and communication
Expert with MS PowerPoint and Word
Extensive experience delivering training via MS Teams, Adobe Connect, or comparable platform
Ability to interface regularly with Government project lead and Government personnel in trainings
Ability to collaborate with peers, SMEs, and Government project lead  
Knowledge of classroom best practices (e.g., Knowles, Dialogic strategies, etc.)  
Effective oral and written communication skills, including good proof-reading skills
Experience with the Federal Government, particularly DoD or DHA, strongly preferred
