Role Designation: Video Telecommunications Specialist - Level III
IT Security Designation: ADP/IT-II
Federal Background Investigation Required: Tier 2 (T2)
Required Certifications: At least one of the following: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GIC SP, G SEC, or SSCP
Experience in this Discipline: Six (6) years with a Bachelor’s degree or ten (10) years of experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
Functional Responsibility: The Senior VTC Technician is responsible for daily management off -site VTC and Conference Room systems such as scheduling VTC with external sites, problem resolution, and configuring rooms to meet requirements for scheduled conferences. Performs video capturing and transfers video to a media streaming server. Performs operations and troubleshooting of VTC and conference room equipment and executes repair or initiates trouble ticket to the appropriate office for support of components and connections external to the site VTC system. Performs routine performance testing to ensure VTC and other conference room equipment computer servers and workstations operate at optimal performance and capacity. Level III performs more independent thinking and difficult tasks compared to Level II.
