This position is open to US citizens and requires a Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation. The position requires:
- 11 years of relevant and related experience are required, or 8 years and a Masters Degree
- CISSP certification
- DoD IAT III, IAM III, and CE certifications
- Candidates with prior DoD experience with be given preference
Improve the security posture of a DoD agency by ensuring continuous ATO and applying NIST, FISMA, and DoD security standards. Analyze and apply system security practices across the enterprise. Responsible for the overall design, development and creation of certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation packages included in the process of helping an organization/agency obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) on its systems and/or environment. Follows National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and/or Department of Defense IA Certification and Accreditation Process standards in performance of job functions. Performs Information System Security Officer (ISSO) services for an organization/agency.
Familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Level IV performs more independent thinking, complex tasks with little to no supervision compared to a Level III, and supervise others.
Perform independent assessments (system and software security vulnerability, threat, and risk assessments) and penetration tests on development and large-scale operational environments. Perform full-lifecycle (i.e., Concept to Development) Information Assurance (IA) security analyses, to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total secure systems solutions that acknowledge technical constraints.
Document security requirements and work with ITSM team to implement, monitor, report, and harden the IT environments. Draft security documents and review content prepared by technical resources.
